Our Corporate slogan “Henkel – A Brand Like A Friend” positions the company as a brand customers and consumers can trust. From the start of the day to the end, Henkel brands touch the life of life of millions of consumers around the world in whatever they do, wherever they go, wherever they look. Henkel not only spreads the message of friendship towards its customers and consumers by its brands but also towards the society through its CSR initiatives. Henkel is known to be a friend of the Environment and is the first company to launch an environment friendly detergent in India. HIL has four manufacturing plants located at Karaikal, Tiljala, Coimbatore and Ambattur. Karaikal plant is the first detergent plant in India to receive the ISO 14000 certification and recently it was granted OHSAS 18001 certification signifying compliance of Occupational Health safety. Henkel India is also the winner of Greentech Award for Environment Excellence in 2003 and FICCI National Award for Environment Protection for the year 2003 from the President of India.

Henkel was one of the first companies to come forward for the Tsunami relief activities in 2004 and Earthquake relief activities in 2005 providing not only food, shelter and clothing to the distressed but also giving them means and methods of re-employment to build back their confidence.

Henkel has also tied up with one of the premier business management schools in India – Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad to set up a Centre for Excellence in Environment Management. This is a part of Henkel initiative to promote the concepts of Environment development and sustainable growth amongst the business managers of the future.
